While awaiting for his units to arrive, Chief Weed directed Lowes management to announce to their customers that they needed to move their own vehicles from the immediate vicinity to avoid damage from caused by the heat & fire. One vehicle remained too close, and Chief Weed began to apply water from a PW “can” in an attempt to keep the paint from becoming damaged. That car was subsequently moved by the patron.

When WLEC Engine 320 arrived on
scene, the crew went to work under the direction of Captain Andrew Colurciello,
who lead his men directly into the danger of what was by this time a violently
ripping storm of fire and fury. (see

An ambulance was summoned to the scene for smoke inhalation by one of the patrons of the store. That persons condition was not available at press time.
